INST 5380 - Artificial Intelligence for K-12 Educators (3)

This course equips K-12 educators with the knowledge, skills, and strategies needed to effectively integrate artificial intelligence tools into their classroom practice. Participants will explore a wide range of AI applications, learning to leverage these technologies to enhance student learning and streamline administrative tasks. Throughout the course, educators will examine practical use cases across various subject areas and grade levels, developing confidence in selecting appropriate AI tools that align with their pedagogical goals and curriculum standards. The program emphasizes an ethical approach to AI implementation, addressing important considerations such as data privacy, algorithmic bias, and developing students’ critical digital literacy skills. Participants will engage in hands-on learning experiences, collaborative discussions, and create customized implementation plans for their unique classroom contexts. By the conclusion of this course, educators will possess a robust toolkit of AI-enhanced teaching strategies that can transform their instructional practice while preparing students for a technology-rich future.
