Political Science B.A. majors must take 9 hours of Modern Language courses. Refer to the Bachelor’s Degree Requirements section for fulfillment options.


Political Science B.A. majors can choose twelve (12) semester hours of coursework in one of two Areas of Concentration (Area 1: American Politics, Public Law, and Theory, or Area 2: International and Regional Politics). At least six (6) semester hours must be at the 3000 or 4000 level.


Political Science B.A. majors can select three (3) courses from the Area not chosen for their main Area of Concentration (except POLS 1244, POLS 4590, POLS 4591, and POLS 4592). At least six (6) semester hours must be at the 3000 or 4000 level.
