Ethical Strategic Leadership, MS (53-889) (30 hours)

Students in the MS in Ethical Strategic Leadership program will:

  • Make effective decisions based on an integrated awareness of value systems (of oneself and others)
  • Think analytically to accomplish strategic goals
  • Maximize communication skills to build shared meaning and leadership credibility with constituents

The MS in Ethical Strategic Leadership is a professional degree program for working adults. The admission requirements are as follows:

  • Resume which typically documents at least three years of professional work experience following the undergraduate degree.
  • A formal, written document outlining the applicant’s personal and professional goals in relationship to the program.
  • A formal interview with the program coordinator and one (or more) members of the MSL faculty to assess the applicant’s ability to engage successfully in graduate-level coursework.
  • An undergraduate degree successfully completed in any discipline.

The MS in Ethical Strategic Leadership is only offered at the University of Central Missouri’s MIC (Missouri Innovation Campus) in Lee’s Summit, Mo. Students may not cross register in MBA classes on campus nor may campus MBA students cross register for classes in the MS in Ethical Strategic Leadership. This five semester cohort program starts only in fall semesters. The 30 hour program includes nine courses and a 3-credit hour applied learning experience (ALE).  The ALE is a faculty- mentored, student-driven project which utilizes the course work to address a real challenge or project within the student’s workplace and exhibits the student’s mastery of the three MS in Ethical Strategic Leadership program objectives.
