Transfer Guide DCC AAS to UCM BS Automotive Technology Management

The below courses are required for BS Automotive Technology Management majors and can be fulfilled at DCC as part of the AAS Motor Vehicle Technology (General Automotive Concentration) requirements. The full list of DCC AAS requirements can be found in the DCC catalog.

AAS General Education Requirements: 15 Semester Hours


The below courses can be taken as part of the general education program at DCC. If these courses are not taken at DCC, they must be completed at UCM.

Note: All students must complete a minimum of 42 credit hours in general education. Students who transfer to UCM with an AAS degree will need to complete the general education program at UCM. See the The General Education Program Requirements  page for full listing of general education requirements at UCM.

AAS Required Courses: 38 Semester Hours


The below courses are required for Automotive Technology Management majors and will be taken as part of the required courses for the AAS Motor Vehicle Technology (General Automotive Concentration) degree at DCC. If these courses are not taken at DCC, they must be completed at UCM.

General Automotive Concentration: 16 Semester Hours


AAS Approved Electives: 9 Semester Hours


The below courses are required for Automotive Technology Management majors and can be taken as part of the AAS Approved Electives at DCC. If these courses are not taken at DCC, they must be completed at UCM.

Minimum Total Hours Required for DCC AAS: 62 Hours


UCM BS Automotive Technology Management


The below list of courses represents the requirements a student will have left to complete after transferring to UCM with an Associate of Applied Science degree. Any courses listed above not taken at DCC must be completed as part of BS requirements.

Major Requirements: 41-51 Semester Hours


Students must receive a grade of C or better in all required courses with the ATM prefix in order for the course to count toward the major.

Electives from One of the Three Areas Listed: 0-10 Semester Hours


Upper-Level (3000/4000) Electives


Upper-level (3000/4000) elective hours may vary depending on transfer coursework and course selection at UCM. Students must take at least 30 upper-level hours to graduate. Courses taken at DCC that articulate to upper-level UCM courses do not count towards upper-level hours.

Minimum Total Hours Required for BS: 120-124 Semester Hours


*Students must receive a grade of C or better in all required courses with the ATM prefix in order for the course to count toward the major.
