Transfer Guide JCCC AA to UCM BS Crisis and Disaster Management

The below courses are required for BS Crisis and Disaster Management majors and can be fulfilled at JCCC as part of the AA (Fire Services Administration Emphasis) requirements. If these courses are not taken at JCCC, they must be completed at UCM. The full list of JCCC AA requirements can be found in the JCCC Catalog.

Students who transfer to UCM with an AA degree will be considered to have met all general education requirements, except those specifically required by the major (if applicable). 

AA General Education Requirements: 30 Semester Hours


AA Fire Services Administration Emphasis: 33 Semester Hours


The Fire Services Administration Emphasis requirements taken at JCCC may fulfill free choice elective hours at UCM. Please visit with your JCCC advisor and/or refer to the JCCC catalog for course options.

Minimum Total Hours Required for JCCC AA Fire Services Administration Emphasis: 63 Semester Hours


UCM BS Crisis and Disaster Management


The below list of courses represents the requirements a student will have left to complete after transferring to UCM with an Associate of Arts degree. Any courses listed above not taken at JCCC must be completed as part of BS requirements.

General Education Requirements


Fulfilled at JCCC with completion of AA degree and CHEM 1104 (CHEM 122).

Free Choice Electives: 21 Semester Hours


Several free choice elective hours can be fulfilled at JCCC with completion of this AA degree. 21 additional elective hours should be taken at UCM.

Minimum Total Hours Required for BS: 120 Semester Hours
