Transfer Guide MCC AAS to UCM Systems Engineering Technology

The below courses are required for BS Systems Engineering Technology majors and can be fulfilled at MCC as part of the AAS Computer Science and Information Systems: Secure Systems Administration & Engineering degree requirements. If these courses are not taken at MCC, they must be completed at UCM. The full list of MCC AAS requirements can be found in the MCC Catalog.

Students who transfer to UCM with an AAS degree will need to complete the general education requirements at UCM. See the MCC General Education Articulations  page for full list of requirements and corresponding courses at MCC.

AAS General Education Requirements: 18-23 Semester Hours


The below courses will be taken as part of the AAS and fulfill general education and/or major requirements at UCM.

AAS Program Requirements: 43 Semester Hours


Minimum Total Hours Required for MCC AAS: 61-66 Semester Hours


UCM BS Systems Engineering Technology


The below list of courses represents the requirements a student will have left to complete after transferring to UCM with an Associate of Arts in Science degree. Any courses listed above not taken at MCC must be completed as part of the BS Systems Engineering Technology requirements.

General Education Requirements: 16-21 Semester Hours


21-26 out of 42 required hours can be fulfilled at MCC with completion of the AAS degree (see above). See The General Education Program Requirements  for the full list of requirements.

Free Choice Electives


Additional hours may be required depending on transfer coursework and course selection at UCM.

Students must take at least 30 upper-level (3000/4000) hours to graduate. Courses taken at MCC that articulate to upper-level UCM courses do not count towards upper-level hours.

Minimum Total Hours Required for BS: 120 Semester Hours
