Transfer Guide MCC AAS Business Accounting Emphasis to UCM BSBA Accountancy

The below courses are required for BSBA Accountancy majors and can be fulfilled at MCC as part of the AAS requirements. If these courses are not completed at MCC, they must be completed at UCM. The full list of MCC AAS requirements can be found in the MCC Catalog.​

Students who transfer to UCM with an AAS degree will need to complete the general education program at UCM. See the UCM General Education Requirements listed at the bottom of this guide.

AAS General Education Requirements: 18 Semester Hours


The below courses will be taken as part of the AAS general education program at MCC and fulfill UCM general education/major requirements (listed in parentheses).

AAS Specific Program Requirements: 18 Semester Hours


AAS Accounting Emphasis Requirements: 28 Semester Hours


Minimum Total Hours Required for MCC AAS: 65-67 Semester Hours


UCM BSBA Accountancy


The below list of courses represents the requirements a student will have left to complete after transferring to UCM with an Associate in Applied Science degree. Any courses listed above not taken at MCC must be completed as part of BSBA requirements.

General Education Requirements: 28 Semester Hours


The following General Education  requirements will need to be completed at UCM.

Minimum Total Hours Required for BSBA: 120 Semester Hours


**Students expecting to receive the BSBA degree must meet all pre-admission requirements to be admitted to this program. See the Statement of Policy on Admission to a BSBA degree program. Pre-admission courses include: ACCT 1101, ACCT 2102, BLAW 2720, CIS 1600, ECON 1010, ECON 1011, FIN 2801, and MATH 1111.
