Transfer Guide JCCC AA to UCM BA Psychology


Johnson County Community College


The below courses are required for BA Psychology majors and can be fulfilled at JCCC as part of the AA requirements. If these courses are not taken at JCCC, they must be completed at UCM. The full list of JCCC AA requirements can be found in the JCCC Catalog.

Students who transfer to UCM with an Associate of Arts degree will be considered to have met all general education requirements, except those specifically required by the major (see UCM General Education Requirements below, if applicable).

AA General Education Requirements: 30 Semester Hours


AA Elective Options: 30 Semester Hours


Minimum Total Hours Required for JCCC AA: 60 Semester Hours


UCM BA Psychology


The below list of courses represents the requirements a student will have left to complete after transferring to UCM with an Associate of Arts degree. Any courses listed above not taken at JCCC must be completed as part of BA requirements.

Modern Language Requirement


The nine (9) required hours of Modern Language can be fulfilled at JCCC (see above). Please see the UCM Undergraduate Catalog for other fulfillment options.

Free Choice Electives: 32-35 Semester Hours


Free choice elective hours may vary depending on transfer coursework and course selection at UCM.

Note: A minimum of 30 upper-level (3000/4000) hours is required for degree completion. Courses taken at JCCC that articulate to upper-level courses at UCM do NOT count toward upper-level hours.

Minimum Total Hours Required for BA: 120 Semester Hours
