Transfer Guide MCC AA to UCM BS Actuarial Science and Statistics

The below courses are required for Actuarial Science and Statistics majors and can be fulfilled at MCC as part of the AA requirements. If the below courses are not taken at MCC they must be completed at UCM. The full list of MCC AA requirements can be found in the MCC Catalog.​

Students who transfer to UCM with a completed Associate in Arts degree will be considered to have met all general education requirements except for those specificaly required by the major (see UCM General Education Requirements section below, if applicable).

AA General Education Requirements: 42 Semester Hours

AA Elective Options: 14 Semester Hours

Minimum Total Hours Required for MCC AA: 60 Hours

UCM BS Actuarial Science and Statistics

The below list of courses represents the requirements a student will have left to complete after transferring to UCM with an Associate in Arts degree. Any courses listed above not taken at MCC must be completed as part of BS requirements.

Major Requirements: 43-54 Semester Hours

Core: 25 Semester Hours

Actuarial Science Option: 20-29 Semester Hours

Electives from the Following: 0-9 Semester Hours

Electives may be fulfilled at MCC (see above). The following are additional course options.

Statistics Option: 18-20 Semester Hours

Electives from the Following: 6-8 Semester Hours

3 hours can be fulfilled at MCC using MATH 3151. Choose additional hours from the following.

Free Choice Electives: 6-17 Semester Hours

Free choice elective hours may vary depending on transfer coursework and course selection at UCM.

Students must take at least 30 upper-level (3000/4000) hours to graduate. Courses taken at MCC that articulate to upper-level UCM courses do not count towards upper-level hours.

Minimum Total Hours Required for BS: 120 Semester Hours
