Transfer Guide SFCC AA to UCM BSE Middle School-Junior High School

The below courses are required for BSE Middle School-Junior High School majors and can be fulfilled at SFCC as part of the AA requirements. If these courses are not taken at SFCC, they must be completed at UCM. The full list of SFCC AA requirements can be found in the SFCC catalog.

Students who transfer to UCM with an Associate of Arts degree are considered to have met all general education requirements at UCM, except for those specifically required by the major (see UCM General Education Requirements below, if applicable).

AA General Education Requirements: 42 Semester Hours


Note


#Students pursuing Social Science Area must take POLS 1510 , HIST 1350 , and HIST 1351 .

AA Elective Options: 22 Semester Hours


Minimum Total Hours Required for SFCC AA: 64 Semester Hours


UCM BSE Middle School-Junior High School


The below list of courses represents the requirements a student will have left to complete after transferring to UCM with an Associate of Arts degree. Any courses listed above not taken at SFCC must be completed as part of the BSE Middle School-Junior High School requirements.

Major Requirements


Subject Areas: 3-24 Semester Hours


Business Education: 11 Semester Hours

Electives in Engineering and Technology: 0-3 Semester Hours

The 9 required elective hours can be fulfilled at SFCC (see indicated courses above). The following course is an additional elective option:

Speech/Theatre: 6 Semester Hours

  • COMM/THEA electives (6)

Free Electives: 0-17 Semester Hours


Elective hours may vary depending on transfer coursework and Area chosen.

Minimum Total Hours Required for BSE: 120 Semester Hours


*Must earn a 3.00 GPA or higher with no grade lower than a C in Professional Education courses.
