Transfer Guide SFCC AAT to UCM BSE Elementary Education: Grades 1-6

The below courses are required for BSE Elementary Education majors and can be fulfilled at SFCC as part of the AAT requirements. If these courses are not taken at SFCC, they must be completed at UCM. The full list of SFCC AAT requirements can be found in the SFCC catalog.

Students who transfer to UCM with an Associate of Arts in Teaching degree are considered to have met all general education requirements at UCM, except for those specifically required by the major (see UCM General Education Requirements below, if applicable).

AAT General Education Requirements: 42 Semester Hours


AAT Program Requirements: 15.5 Semester Hours


AAT Program Electives: 9 Semester Hours


Minimum Total Hours Required for SFCC AAT: 66.5 Semester Hours


*Must earn a 3.00 GPA or higher with no grade lower than a C in Professional Education courses.

UCM BSE Elementary Education: Grades 1-6


The below list of courses represents the requirements a student will have left to complete after transferring to UCM with an Associate of Arts in Teaching degree. Any courses listed above not taken at SFCC must be completed as part of BSE requirements.

Major Requirements Clinical Pathway: 55 Semester Hours


Professional Education Requirements: 17 Semester Hours


Must earn a 3.00 GPA or higher with no grade lower than a C in Professional Education courses.

General Education Requirements: 6 Semester Hours


The following general education courses are required for this major.
