Transfer Guide MCC AA to UCM BS Kinesiology

The below courses are required for Kinesiology majors and can be fulfilled at MCC as part of the AA requirements. If the below courses are not taken at MCC they must be completed at UCM. The full list of MCC AA requirements can be found in the MCC Catalog.
Students who transfer to UCM with a completed Associate in Arts degree will be considered to have met all general education requirements except for those specifically required by the major.
AA General Education Requirements: 42 Semester Hours
AA Elective Options: 18 Semester Hours
The following courses are required for all Kinesiology majors:
Area 1 - Exercise Science
If pursuing Area 1 at UCM, select the following course.
Area 2 - Corporate Fitness
If pursuing Area 2 at UCM, choose from the following courses.
Area 3 - Pre-Athletic Training
If pursuing Area 3 at UCM, choose from the following courses.
Area 4 - Pre-Occupational Therapy
If pursuing Area 4 at UCM, choose from the following courses.
Area 5 - Pre-Physical Therapy
If pursuing Area 5 at UCM, choose from the following courses.
Minimum Total Hours Required for MCC AA: 60 Hours
UCM BS Kinesiology
The below list of courses represents the requirements a student will have left to complete after transferring to UCM with an Associate in Arts degree. Any courses listed above not taken at MCC must be completed at UCM.
Elect One of the 5 Areas: 6-15 Semester Hours
Hours may vary depending on transfer coursework. Elective courses listed above for your chosen Area that are not completed at MCC will be required at UCM.
Area 1 - Exercise Science: 12 Semester Hours
Area 2 - Corporate Fitness: 12 Semester Hours
Area 3 - Pre-Athletic Training: 12 Semester Hours
Area 4 - Pre-Occupational Therapy: 6 Semester Hours
Area 5 - Pre-Physical Therapy: 6 Semester Hours
Free Choice Electives: 12-21 Semester Hours
Free choice elective hours may vary depending on transfer coursework and course selection at UCM. Hours must reach at least 120 overall with at least 30 at upper-level.
Upper-level courses have course numbers in the 3000’s or 4000’s. Courses taken at MCC that transfer to UCM as upper-level courses do NOT count towards upper-level hours.
