Transfer Guide JC AAS Bi-Level Nursing to UCM BS Health Studies


Jefferson College


The below courses are required for Health Science majors and can be fulfilled at Jefferson as part of the AAS Bi-Level Nursing Program requirements. If any of the below courses are not taken at Jefferson, they must be completed at UCM. The full list of AAS requirements can be found in the Jefferson College catalog.​

Students who transfer to UCM with a completed Associate of Applied Science degree will need to complete the general education requirements at UCM. See the UCM General Education Requirements listed at the bottom of this guide.

AAS General Education Requirements: 27-29 Semester Hours


The below courses required by the AAS degree at Jefferson College fulfill general education/major requirements at UCM.

AAS Program Requirements: 50 Semester Hours

Minimum Total Hours Required for JC AAS: 77-79 Semester Hours


*A grade of “C” or better is required for Major courses.

UCM BS Health Studies


The below list of courses represents the requirements a student will have left to complete after transferring to UCM with an Associate of Applied Science degree. Any courses listed above not taken at Jefferson College must be completed at UCM.

Approved Electives: 9 Semester Hours


Approved electives require approval from the Health Studies program which result in a minor, certificate or prepare students for a certification or graduate school program.

A grade of “C” or better is required for Approved Electives.

General Education Requirements: 28-29 Semester Hours


The following General Education  requirements will need to be completed at UCM. 

Minimum Total Hours Required for BS: 120 Semester Hours
