Elementary Education Major (Birth - Grade 3 Option; Clinical Pathway), BS in Ed. Degree - 120-121 hours


  • * This program contains additional general education choices. If needed and chosen, these will reduce the general education requirements and increase the free electives required.
  • Courses in italics in the junior and senior years are the Clinical Pathway blocks. You will be administratively enrolled in these courses and you will self-enroll in any non-CP course you plan to take in that semester. Students pursuing the double certification clinical pathways option will have the opportunity to complete all three Junior Blocks. Please see your success advisor for course planning assistance.
  • Teacher Education candidates must take the appropriate Missouri Content Assessment (MoCA) for their certification area before they can student teach, and must pass it in order to be recommended for certification. Information and registration is available on the MEGA website: http://www.mo.nesinc.com/.
  • See www.ucmo.edu/cert for statement and information (including application) on admission to teacher education. Full admission is required before enrollment in professional education classes and student teaching. The application for student teaching is due approximately one year in advance.
