ENGT 4160 - Transportation Systems Design (3)

The principles and practices of transportation systems - highway, mass transit, rail, waterways, and air transportation are covered. Special emphasis is placed on highway planning and design, construction, and safety. Highway design principles, including environmental impact, traffic studies, location planning, horizontal and vertical alignment studies, intersections and interchanges, earthwork, drainage, and pavement design are studied. Prerequisite(s): ENGT 4120 . Not available for graduate credit.
