Transfer Guide JCCC AAS Construction Management Technology to UCM BS Construction Management

The below courses are required for BS Construction Management majors and can be fulfilled at JCCC as part of the AAS Construction Management Technology degree requirements. If these courses are not taken at JCCC, they must be completed at UCM. The full list of JCCC AAS Construction Management Technology degree requirements can be found in the JCCC catalog.

Students who transfer to UCM with an AAS degree will need to complete the general education requirements at UCM. See the JCCC General Education Articulations page for full listing of transferable general education courses.

AAS General Education Requirements: 15 Semester Hours


AAS Construction Management Technology Requirements: 42 Semester Hours


AAS Program Electives: 6 Semester Hours


Minimum Total Hours Required for JCCC AAS: 63 Semester Hours


UCM BS Construction Management


The below list of courses represents the requirements a student will have left to complete after transferring to UCM with an AAS Construction Management Technology degree. Any courses listed above not taken at JCCC must be completed as part of the BS Construction Management requirements.

General Education Requirements: 24 Semester Hours


The following General Education  requirements will need to be completed at UCM.

  • Foundational Skills: Writing I (3 hours)
  • Knowledge Area I (9 hours)
  • Knoweldge Area II (3 hours)
  • Knowledge Area III (6 hours)
  • Elective (3 hours)

Free Choice Electives


Additional hours hours may be required depending on transfer coursework and course selection at UCM.

Students must take at least 30 upper-level (3000/4000) hours to graduate. Courses taken at JCCC that articulate to upper-level UCM courses do not count towards upper-level hours.

Minimum Total Hours Required for BS: 120 Semester Hours
