Transfer Guide JCCC AAS Apparel Design & Tech to UCM BS Fashion: Textiles and Clothing in Business

The below courses are required for BS Fashion: Textiles and Clothing in Business majors and can be fulfilled at JCCC as part of the AAS Apparel Design and Technology degree requirements. If these courses are not taken at JCCC, they must be completed at UCM. The full list of JCCC AAS degree requirements can be found in the JCCC catalog.

Students who transfer to UCM with an AAS degree will need to complete the general education requirements at UCM. See the JCCC General Education Articulations  page for full listing of transferable general education courses.

AAS General Education Requirements: 15 Semester Hours

Minimum Total Hours Required for JCCC AAS: 67 Semester Hours


UCM BS Fashion: Textiles and Clothing in Business


The below list of courses represents the requirements a student will have left to complete after transferring to UCM with an Associate of Applied Science degree. Any courses listed above not taken at JCCC must be completed as part of BS requirements.

Minor in Marketing or Minor in Business Administration: 12-15 Semester Hours


General Education Requirements: 25-28 Semester Hours


The following General Education  requirements will need to be completed at UCM. Hours may vary depending on transfer coursework and course selection.

  • Foundational Skills: Writing II or Communication (3 hours)
  • Foundational Skills: Managing Information (0-3 hours)
  • Knowledge Area I (6 hours)
  • Knoweldge Area II (7 hours)
  • Knoweldge Area III (3 hours)
  • Elective (3 hours)

Minimum Total Hours Required for BS: 120 Semester Hours
