Transfer Guide MCC AAS to UCM BS Computer Science - Software Development Option

The below courses are required for students pursuing the BS degree in Computer Science - Software Development and can be fulfilled at MCC as part of the AAS Computer Science and Information Systems: Software Development requirements. The full list of MCC AAS requirements can be found in the MCC catalog.
Students who transfer to UCM with an AAS degree are NOT considered to have met all general education requirements, and will have all coursework evaluated on a course-by-course basis. You may find the listing of courses from MCC that transfer to UCM as specific general education requirements here: MCC General Education Equivalents .
AAS General Education Requirements: 18 Semester Hours
The below courses can be taken as part of the general education program at MCC. If these courses are not taken at MCC, they must be completed at UCM.
Note: All students must complete a minimum of 42 credit hours in general education. Students who transfer to UCM with an AAS degree will need to complete the general education program at UCM. See the General Education Articulations page for full listing of MCC courses that fulfill UCM’s general education requirements.
AAS Computer Science and Info Systems: Software Development Requirements: 42 Semester Hours
The below courses are required for Computer Science - Software Development majors and will be taken as part of the required courses for the AAS Computer Science and Information Systems: Software Development degree at MCC. If these courses are not taken at MCC, they must be completed at UCM.
Specific Program Requirements: 9 Semester Hours
Specific program requirements for the AAS CSIS degree can be found in the MCC catalog.
Emphasis Area: 33 Semester Hours
Minimum Total Hours Required for MCC AAS: 61-68 Semester Hours
Additional Course Options
The below courses are not required for the AAS Computer Science and Information Systems: Software Development degree at MCC, but can be taken to fulfill UCM requirements for the BS Computer Science - Software Development degree program. If not taken at MCC, these courses must be completed at UCM.
UCM BS Computer Science - Option Software Development
The below list of courses represents the requirements a student will have left to complete after transferring to UCM with an AAS degree in Computer Science and Information Systems: Software Development. Any courses listed above not taken at MCC must be completed as part of the BS Computer Science - Software Development requirements.
Core Major Requirements: 21-24 Semester Hours
Software Development Option
Electives from the Following: 12-21 Semester Hours
Electives from the following: 0-12 Semester Hours
Elective hours can be fulfilled at MCC with CS 3120 and/or CYBR 4840*. The following courses are additional elective options.
General Education Requirements: 3 Semester Hours
The following general education classes are required by this major:

Elective hours may vary depending on transfer coursework.
