Transfer Guide State Tech AAS Drafting/Design to UCM BS Design and Drafting Technology

The below courses are required for BS Design and Drafting Technology majors and can be fulfilled at State Tech as part of the AAS requirements. The full list of State Tech AAS requirements can be found in the State Tech catalog.
AAS General Education Requirements: 19 Semester Hours
The below courses can be taken as part of the general education program at State Tech. If these courses are not taken at State Tech, they must be completed at UCM.
Note: All students must complete a minimum of 42 credit hours in general education. Students who transfer to UCM with an AAS degree will need to complete the general education program at UCM. See The General Education Program Requirements for full listing of requirements.
AAS Drafting and Design Engineering Technology Core Requirements: 33-42 Semester Hours
The below courses are required for BS Design and Drafting Technology majors and may be taken as part of the core curriculum requirements for the AAS degree at State Tech. If these courses are not taken at State Tech, they must be completed at UCM.

- CADD 2150 - Descriptive Geometry for Engineering Technology (3: 3 lecture, 0 lab)
- CADD 2171 - Introduction to MicroStation (3: 3 lecture, 0 lab)
- CADD 3100 - Junior Design/Drafting Seminar (0.5)
- CADD 3120 - Machine Drafting (3: 3 lecture, 0 lab)
- CADD 3160 - Residential Architectural Drawing (3: 3 lecture, 0 lab)

General Education Requirements: 10 Semester Hours
The following general education classes are required for this major:
Upper-Level (3000/4000) Electives: 0-1.5 Semester Hours
Upper-level (3000/4000) elective hours may vary depending on transfer coursework and course selection at UCM. Students must take at least 30 upper-level hours to graduate. Courses taken at State Tech that articulate to upper-level UCM courses do not count towards upper-level hours.
Minimum Total Hours Required for BS: 120 Semester Hours
