Transfer Guide JCCC AA to UCM BS Computer Science: Data Science Option

The below courses are required for BS Computer Science: Data Science Option majors and can be fulfilled at JCCC as part of the AA degree requirements. The full list of JCCC AA degree requirements can be found in the JCCC catalog.
AA General Education Requirements: 30 Semester Hours
The below courses are required for students pursuing a degree in Computer Science: Data Science Option and can be taken as part of the general education program at JCCC. If these courses are not taken at JCCC, they must be completed at UCM.
All students must complete a minimum of 42 credit hours in general education. Some majors require additional hours due to required coursework. See for full listing of requirements at UCM.
AA Elective Options: 30 Semester Hours
The below courses are required for BS Computer Science: Data Science Option majors and may be taken as part of the 30 required elective hours for the AA degree at JCCC. If these courses are not taken at JCCC, they must be completed at UCM.
Minimum Total Hours Required for JCCC AA: 60 Semester Hours
UCM BS Computer Science: Data Science Option
The below list of courses represents the requirements a student will have left to complete after transferring to UCM with an Associate of Arts degree. Any courses listed above not taken at JCCC must be completed as part of BS requirements.
Major Requirements: 39-51 Semester Hours
Data Science Option: 15-27 Semester Hours
Electives from the Following: 0-12 Semester Hours
Twelve (12) required elective hours may be fulfilled at JCCC with completion of CS 3810, CS 4000, CS 4020, CS 4110, CS 4120, and/or CS 4130 (see “AA Elective Options” above). The following courses are additional elective options.
