Transfer Guide MCC AAT to UCM BSE Secondary Education: Chemistry

The below courses are required for BSE Secondary Education majors and can be fulfilled at MCC as part of the AAT requirements. The full list of MCC AAT requirements can be found in the MCC Catalog.​

AAT General Education Requirements: 41-47 Semester Hours


The below courses can be taken as part of the AAT general education program at MCC. If these courses are not taken at MCC, they must be completed at UCM.

All students must complete a minimum of 42 credit hours in general education. Some majors require additional hours due to required coursework. See The General Education Program Requirements  for full listing of requirements at UCM.

AAT Program Requirements: 12 Semester Hours


The below courses are required for the BSE Secondary Education majors and may be taken as part of the 12 required hours for the AAT degree at MCC. If these courses are not taken at MCC, they must be completed at UCM.

AAT Electives: 8 Semester Hours


The below courses are required at UCM as part of the BSE Secondary Education program and may be completed at MCC as part of the 8 elective hours. If not taken at MCC, they must be completed at UCM.

Minimum Total Hours Required for MCC AAT: 61-67 Hours


UCM BSE Secondary Education: Chemistry


The below list of courses represents the requirements a student will have left to complete after transferring to UCM with an Associate of Arts in Teaching degree. Any courses listed above not taken at MCC must be completed as part of BSE requirements.

Major Requirements: 26 Semester Hours


Free Choice Electives: 5-11 Semester Hours


Free choice elective hours may vary depending on transfer coursework and course selection at UCM.

Minimum Total Hours Required for BSE: 120 Semester Hours


*Must earn a 3.00 GPA or higher with no grade lower than a C in Professional Education courses.
