Transfer Guide JCCC AAS Interior Design to UCM BFA Interior Design

Students who transfer to UCM with an Associate of Applied Science degree will need to complete the general education requirements at UCM. See  for complete list of UCM general education courses that can be fulfilled at JCCC.

AAS Interior Design Program Requirements: 52 Semester Hours

The below courses are required for BFA Interior Design majors and may be taken as part of the 52 required hours for the AAS Interior Design degree at JCCC. If these courses are not taken at JCCC, they must be completed at UCM.

• DRAF 164 Architectural Drafting/Residential Interior Design transfers as  ART 1300 - Interior Design Drafting I (3)
• ITMD 129 Design Communication transfers as  ART 2305 - Interior Design Presentation Techniques (3)
• ITMD 121 Interior Design I transfers as  ART 2310 - Interior Design Studio I (3)
• ITMD 132 Materials and Resources transfers as  ART 2340 - Materials, Methods and Specifications (3)
• ITMD 273 Practices and Procedures OR ITMD 284 Interiors Internship II transfers as  ART 3320 - Professional Practice for Interior Design I (1) *
• ITMD 231 History of Interior Design II transfers as  ART 3850 - History of Furniture and Interiors II (3)
• ITMD 282 Interiors Internship I transfers as  ART 4310 - Interior Design Internship (1-3)

Minimum Total Hours Required for JCCC AAS: 67 Semester Hours

Major Requirements: 65 Semester Hours
