Transfer Guide JCCC AA to UCM BS Criminal Justice

The below courses are required for BS Criminal Justice majors and can be fulfilled at JCCC as part of the AA Administration of Justice Emphasis degree requirements. Any courses listed below not taken at JCCC must be completed at UCM. The full list of JCCC AA Administration of Justice Emphasis degree requirements can be found in the JCCC Catalog.

Students who transfer to UCM with an AA degree are considered to have met all general education requirements at UCM, with the exception of those required by the major (if applicable).

AA General Education Requirements: 30 Semester Hours

AA Administration of Justice Required Courses: 24 Semester Hours


AA Administration of Justice Electives: 9 Semester Hours


Note: The following courses can be taken at JCCC to fulfill the CJ elective requirement at UCM, but they do not articulate to a specific CJ course: ADMJ 228, ADMJ 150, ADMJ 201, and ADMJ 230.

Minimum Total Hours Required for JCCC AA Administration of Justice Emphasis: 63 Semester Hours


UCM BS Criminal Justice


The below list of courses represents the requirements a student will have left to complete after transferring to UCM with an Associate of Arts Administration of Justice degree. Any courses listed above not taken at JCCC must be completed as part of BS requirements.

Free Choice Electives: 48 Semester Hours


Free choice elective hours may vary depending on transfer coursework and course selection at UCM.

Note: Students must take at least 30 upper-level (3000/4000) hours to graduate. Courses taken at JCCC that articulate to upper-level UCM courses do not count towards upper-level hours.

Minimum Total Hours Required for BS: 120 Semester Hours
