EDSP 5380 - Readings and Contemporary Issues (1-3) This course incorporates a broad survey of issues and trends in special education and behavior management. It is unique in that it isn’t just learning information, it’s understanding issues in order to practically apply the students’ skill sets to potentially create a positive impact on the cause they discover they are most passionate about. The core goal of the course is to create a sense of emotion that potentially may drive a career or facilitate action for an individually determined greater good or benefit of society. Emphases will be placed on evidence-based practices, critical issues, and research relevant to the field. Summer.
