Note: Students who choose 240 validated volunteer hours must perform the hours for one non-profit organization and must be approved in advance by the Management program coordinator and the HCBPS Internship coordinator. Students must earn a 2.5 or higher GPA and have 60 credit hours complete for volunteer hours to be approved.
Note: Students who choose Study Abroad can complete this option in many ways. See the Management program coordinator for more information. Students who wish to study abroad ideally, should begin planning their sophomore or early junior year or a year in advance of planned study.
Junior Year - Fall Semester

*** All Management majors must enroll in the IBE Block. This includes the IBE Practicum (MGT 3385 , MKT 3485 or FIN 3885 ) concurrently with the IBE sections of MGT 3315 , MKT 3405 and FIN 3850 . This is typically done during the fall of the junior year. Prerequisites for the IBE block include: ACCT 1101 , CIS 1600 , and junior standing.

Management Major (Area 2: Leadership), BSBA Degree - 120 Hours
- * Students in this major must complete eight preadmission courses with a grade of C or higher and must obtain a 2.25 cumulative GPA and a 2.25 in these specific courses, for admission to the degree program. These courses are recommended for completion during the freshman and sophomore years. These courses are indicated with an (*).
- ** UNIV 1400 or BADM 1400 (1 hr.) is highly recommended for academic success. UNIV 1400 or BADM 1400 counts as a free choice elective.
- 10This course fulfills Compency 10-Integration in the General Education program. Th ehours count in the major, not in general education.
- A 2.25 cumulative GPA is required for graduation in this major.
- To satisfy the General Education Assessment (GEA) Policy, students must take the GEA after they earn 60 credit hours but before earning 75 credit hours. Transfer students who have more than 60 hours earned should take the exam during their second semester at UCM. Students must achieve a passing score of 425 to meet graduation requirements. Students may register for the GEA through MyCentral. Contact UCM Testing Services (HUM 216, 660-543-4919, testingservices@ucmo.edu) for more information.

- ****Peace Corps Prep Certificate (see https://www.ucmo.edu/offices/peace-corps/) The Peace Corps Prep Certificate is awarded by the Peace Corps. BSBA in Management majors, through their major courses will meet #6 Community and Economic Development sector requirements. Foreign language is encouraged but preparation depends on future service plans. Intercultural Competence is met by choosing either COMM 3340 - Intercultural Communication (3) or WGS 2000 - Intersections: Gender, Race, Class GE (3) and six (6) additional credits in Intercutural Competence, some of which are also General Education courses. Further, the Diversity and Inclusion Emphasis incudes 6 credits which include options from the Peace Corps Intercultural Competence list. A BSBA in Management should be able to complete the Peace Corps Prep Certificate with a maximum of 9 credits; not including foreign language. The Peace Corps Prep Certificate also requires substantive interculltural experience. See the Peace Corps Prep Coordinator or the Management Coordinator to discuss this requirement further. Lastly, there are non-credit professional and leadership development requirements for the Peace Corps Prep Certificate. Peace Corps Prep Certificate: MGT 4350 (0-1 credits) or ESE 4750 (0-1 credits). Validated Volunteer Hours: MGT 3350 (0-1 credits) or ESE 3750 (0-1 credits)
